Environmental management
All plants have been certified since 2001. All processes are regularly reviewed, assessed and further improved to protect the environment.
FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council® (Rat für Waldbewirtschaftung)
The responsible use of natural resources is a matter of course for us. The raw material wood comes exclusively from exemplary managed forests.
ISO 50001 - Energy management
Certified since 2013: we relieve the environment by constantly improving energy efficiency and sustainably reducing energy costs.
In our investment and procurement policy, the impact on the environment is an important decision-making criterion. All contractual partners are included in our commitment to the responsible use of resources.
In addition to investing in new, modern machines and computers to optimise functional stability, durability and energy efficiency, there are many other examples from the catalogue of measures to protect the environment:
- Central heating/cooling via waste heat from printing presses
- Central ink supply directly to the presses and thus a considerable reduction in ink waste
- Motion sensor-controlled lighting
- Continuous replacement of light sources with LED light.
Together with our energy suppliers we are also working out specific concepts for achieving further savings in energy consumption.
